Royal Enfield has raised the stakes in the adventure motorcycle segment with the launch of the new Scram 440, priced at Rs 2.08 lakh, ex-showroom Chennai. The 2025 model is available in two variants—Trail and Force—and replaces the outgoing Scram 411. Alongside its updated variants, the Scram 440 boasts a larger and more powerful engine. Royal Enfield Scram 440: Upgraded Engine
The Scram 440 features a Long Stroke 443cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 3,400 rpm. Compared to its predecessor, the Scram 411, this new engine offers 4.5 per cent more power and 6.5 per cent more torque. The bore size has been increased by 3mm, enhancing torque delivery at lower RPMs for quicker acceleration off the line.
Additionally, the Scram 440 now comes equipped with a new 6-speed gearbox, replacing the previous 5-speed unit. This upgrade includes a lighter clutch, further improving ride quality and ease of use. With these updates, the Scram 440 promises a more refined and capable riding experience.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Hardware
The new Scram 440 features a hardware setup consists of a 19-inch front tyre (100/90 profile) and a 17-inch rear tyre (120/90 profile). The braking system consists of a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc.
The suspension setup includes 41 mm front forks with 190 mm of wheel travel and a rear monoshock offering 180 mm of travel, providing a comfortable ride on varied terrains. The Scram 440 comes with dual-purpose tyres, available in tubed or tubeless options, and is fitted with dual-channel ABS. Notably, the rear ABS is switchable, offering greater control during off-road adventures. This feature is standard across all variants.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Key Updates
The Scram 440 introduces several much-needed updates, including an all-LED headlight and taillight, although the indicators retain halogen bulbs. It comes equipped with a standard analog-digital instrument console, with the option to add the Tripper Pod for turn-by-turn navigation. Additional features include a USB Type-A charging port and a newly designed single-piece saddle.
The Scram 440 is available in five colour options across two variants — Trail and Force. The Trail variants, offered in Blue and Green, are fitted with tubed spoke wheels and tube tyres. Meanwhile, the Force variants, available in Blue, Grey, and Teal, come with tubeless alloy wheels, catering to riders seeking a more modern and convenient setup.
