Honda has patented a new motorcycle for India, which looks similar to the Hornet 2.0 and the CB190R which is sold in select markets globally. However, what is important here is the new design of the motorcycle, which could be a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the TVS Ronin. Here are more details from the patent image.

These are the exact words that would come to one’s mind when looking at the image. Certain details like the chassis look identical to the Hornet 2.0 while certain aspects of the engine look closer to the CB190R that Honda sells in select global markets. However, as mentioned earlier, the design is the most important aspect here are it borrows inspiration from the Honda CB650R, featuring a round headlight, a single-piece seat, and minimal bodywork.

The motorcycle features chunky USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, round mirrors, and a flat handlebar. The round blinkers go well with the overall design of the motorcycle and all the lighting is expected to be LEDs. The rear features a swingarm-mounted number plate holder, while the instrument console is a round unit — mostly a semi-digital cluster.

While not many details are known now, including the name, more details will emerge in the coming days. When launched, it could take on the Mavrick as well, alongside the rivals from Royal Enfield and TVS.
