Ola Electric is never short of surprises and the company has pulled out yet another rabbit out of its hat. This time, its flagship scooter got more fancy. The Bengaluru-based EV startup has unveiled a special limited-edition S1 Pro Sona (translated to Gold). As the name suggests, this version of the scooter has everything to do with gold.
Ola S1 Pro Sona: What’s new?
While the design remains practically identical to the standard S1 Pro, the Sona gets authentic 24K gold plating on several parts of the body including front brake levers, rear view mirrors, pillion grab rail, footpegs, and side stand. Further, it gets a gold finish “OLA” lettering and a Sona badging inscribed in Hindi, along with a premium seat wrapped in dark beige Nappa leather with gold thread stitching in Zari thread.
The S1 Pro Sona comes in an exclusive dual-tone white and golden colour scheme. The main body panels are wrapped in cream white colour whereas the lower skirts, headlight shroud as well as the front mudguard are finished in a garish beige ochre. The upside down front forks, swingarm, rear monoshock spring and the wheels carry a blingy gold paint.
Besides the visual upgrades, the S1 Pro Sona gets feature additions such as a gold theme user interface on the instrument panel. Called the Sona Mood, this offers a golden themed dashboard. The rest of the equipment and specifications remain unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 11 kW mid-ship mounted electric motor which draws energy from a battery that claims a 195 km range on a single charge.
Ola S1 Pro Sona: How to grab one?
The new S1 Pro Sona is a limited edition model introduced as part of the company’s expansion of its sales and service network. It was recently revealed that Ola Electric will be expanding its footprint across the country by the end of this year, establishing 3200 new stores mostly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 centres. All of these new stores will come into operation together on 25 December 2024.
As part of this massive expansion, Ola Electric is conducting an Ola Sona Contest. The winners of this contest will get a chance to grab hold of a S1 Pro Sona. Participants need to post a reel or photo of an Ola S1 Pro outside the brand store and tag the company with the hashtag #OlaSonaContest. Participants will then stand a chance to win a limited edition S1 Pro Sona through a scratch and win competition across all Ola brand stores on December 25.
