Okaya EV to launch new electric bike under Ferrato — bookings commence

Called Ferrato Disruptor, Okaya EV is accepting pre-bookings for the electric bike through its official website at a token amount of Rs 500 for first 1000 buyers.

Earlier last month, Okaya EV announced a new premium brand of electric two-wheelers named Ferrato. Now, the company has revealed the name of the first product to be sold under this new subsidiary brand. Called Disruptor, Okaya EV has officially commenced pre-bookings for the upcoming electric motorcycle.

The Disruptor is slated to break cover on May 2, 2024 with official prices to be revealed on the same day. The bike can be booked via the Ferrato’s official website and the first 1000 buyers will have the opportunity to pre-book the bike at a nominal token amount of Rs 500. Post this the booking amount will increase to Rs 2,500 which is also a limited time offer.

Okaya Ferrato Disruptor: Design & specs

Okaya EV has also shared a teaser image of the Ferrato Disruptor which takes the appearance of a full-faired sports bike. The red colour scheme with snazzy body graphics further enhance its sporty stance. Up front, the apron houses a twin-LED headlamp setup and an integrated windscreen above. At the rear, the bike gets split grab rails and a single piece taillamp with pixelated internals.

Besides, Okaya EV has shared some details regarding the specification of the Ferrato Disruptor. These include a 3.97 kWh LFP battery pack which is good enough to offer a range of 129 km. The Disruptor comes on board with a 6.37kW PMS motor which can generate a peak torque of 228 Nm. The Disruptor claims a top speed of 95 kmph. Therefore, going by its performance, it could be equivalent to a 125cc-150cc petrol bike.

Okaya claims the Disruptor to offer a running cost as low as 25 paise per km. In terms of features, it will offer connectivity features and an intuitive control panel to toggle through different functionalities.
