Triumph has teased the new Speed Twin 1200 RS, hinting at its launch in India in the coming days. The new Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS will get updates over the Speed Twin 1200, which is already on sale in India at Rs 11.89 lakh, ex-showroom.

The teaser for the new Speed Twin 1200 RS does not reveal much, and going by Triumph’s other RS models, the motorcycle will get notable updates in terms of slight horsepower gain and suspension components. The teaser makes one thing clear though, that the new Speed Twin 1200 RS will get new colour schemes and sportier graphics.
The new Speed Twin 1200 RS will retain the same 1200cc twin-cylinder engine, but instead of making 99bhp, it could get a slight bump in power, while the torque output could remain at 112Nm. The engine will continue to be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Another update could be the suspension and instead of using the Marzocchi forks, the RS model could get fully adjustable Ohlins units for the front and rear. The brakes also see an upgrade in the form of Brembo callipers.
That said, the new Speed Twin 1200 RS will be based on the same steel cradle chassis as the standard Speed Twin 1200. The motorcycle could also be marginally lighter than the current standard version’s kerb weight of 216kg.
