Triumph has unveiled the limited edition Evel Knievel versions of the Rocket 3, which will be sold in limited numbers. The Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel editions will be available in R and GT trims, paying homage to Evil Knievel, the iconic stuntman. Here’s what changes the new Triumph Rocket 3 gets.
Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition — What’s new?
The new Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition gets visual updates compared to the standard motorcycle. The Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition’s paint scheme resembles the famous suit he wore for his stunts. That said, there is also a start-up logo that is illuminated on the TFT dash while there is a gold laser-etched cam cover plate with Evel Knievel’s logo. Customers also get a book outlining Knievel’s stunts and the Triumph motorcycles he used.
Apart from the visual changes mentioned above, the Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition remains mechanically unchanged. That means powering the motorcycle is a 2,500cc inline three-cylinder engine that makes 165bhp and 221Nm of peak torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox.
In India, the Triumph Rocket 3 R carries a price tag of Rs 21.99 lakh ex-showroom, while the GT costs Rs 22.59 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Edition making it to India is unlikely, however, not impossible.
