Honda has had remarkable success with its scooters in India, and even in the global markets, Honda scooters are popular. The Asian markets are huge for Honda, and there are several scooters on sale, and one of them might make it to India soon — the Honda Beat. Honda has filed patents for the scooter in India.
Honda Beat — What is it?
The Honda Beat is a sporty-looking scooter that gets 14-inch wheels, adding to its overall styling. The Beat gets sharp body panels, alloy wheels, and a traditional floorboard, giving the scooter a contemporary look and feel.
That said, the Honda Beat is positioned as a premium scooter in the Southeast Asian markets and gets keyless ignition, 14-inch wheels, an anti-theft alarm and LED lighting. Powering the scooter is the same engine that does its job in the Honda Activa, a 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 9bhp and 9.2Nm of peak torque.
As for its India launch, it is unlikely anytime soon. Honda has the tradition of patenting all of its products sold globally in India, and the Honda Beat can be added to that list.
