Hero MotoCorp entered the electric mobility space in 2021 with the Vida range of electric scooters. Despite being the largest manufacturer in the country’s two-wheeler market, Hero for some reason, hasn’t been able to penetrate into the electric two-wheeler segment. The company is set to expand its electric scooter lineup with a new Vida scooter.
Called Vida Z, this scooter was officially unveiled by Hero at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 earlier this year. The battery-powered scooter has now been spotted testing on the roads ahead of its expected launch later this year. The test mule caught on camera was completely uncamouflaged and was wearing a yellow paint.
Hero Vida Z: Design
The Vida Z carries a simpler design as compared to the current crop of Vida e-scooters. The spy shots reveal a design which looks very conventional, similar to the petrol-powered scooters with a clean side profile, a flat single-piece seat, a single-piece grab rail, and flat spacious footboard. The ergonomics appear to be very simple and upright.
That said, the new Vida gets some distinct highlights such as the rectangular headlamp cluster with integrated LED DRLs on the front apron along with LED winkers on the handlebar, giving the scooter a very unique look. At the rear, the Vida Z gets a very familiar LED taillamp with an H-shaped internal. The rest of the scooter looks very conventional.
Hero Vida Z: Expected specs & features
On a closer glance, one could notice a digital instrument cluster that should come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features expected to be included in the package are USB charging port and an illuminated underseat storage.
We still don’t know anything about its specifications, but if Hero plans to offer this as a more affordable option in its lineup, the Vida Z is expected to share the same specs as V2 Lite. The latter comes equipped with 2.2 a kWh battery that claims a range of 94 km on a single charge.
