There has been a lot happening in the motorcycle industry in India recently. In November 2024, the EICMA took place in Milan, Italy where two-wheeler manufacturers from all across the world showcased some of the most crucial models for the future. This was followed by the India Bike Week in Goa the following month and the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025.
Let us look at the top five motorcycles that have been trending in google for the past 30 days in India.
1. TVS Raider
TVS first launched the Raider in 2021 and is now one of the highest-selling 125cc motorcycles in the country. The Raider got an important update back in October 2024 when the company added the iGO assist. This feature is a first-in-segment ‘boost mode’, that allows the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 5.8 seconds. The Raider is priced between Rs 85,000 and Rs1.13 lakh (both ex-showroom).
2. Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
The Guerrilla is the second model to be based on Royal Enfield 452cc Sherpa platform after the new-gen Himalayan. Launched in July last year, the Guerrilla is a roadster which is priced between Rs 2.39 lakh and Rs 2.54 lakh (both ex-showroom). It is powered by a 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which kicks out 39.50 bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 40 Nm at 5,500rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
3. Royal Enfield Scram 440
First unveiled at the Motoverse in November 2024, Royal Enfield launched the heavily updated Scram last month. In its new avatar, the Scram gained a larger and slightly more powerful 44443cc, air/oil-cooled engine that develops 25.4 bhp at 6,250rpm and 34 Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. This engine is now paired with a six-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.
4. Bajaj Pulsar N150
Bajaj launched its new-gen 150cc Pulsar— the N150 — in 2023. The bike is known to offer decent performance usable for city commutes and occasional highway runs complemented by a decent set of features at an attractive price. Available at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Pulsar N150 is powered by a 149.6cc single-cylinder engine which develops 14.5 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
5. Honda SP 125
A sportier version of the Shine 125, Honda launched an updated SP 125 in December 2024. In its latest version, the SP 125 gained some new colour schemes and an OBD2B and E20 compliant engine. This engine continues to push out a similar peak output of 10.72 bhp and 10.9 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a six-speed gearbox.
