Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles has announced its entry into the Indian market. The company has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors for a sales and distribution network in the country. The deal aims to launch an exclusive range of motorcycles tailored for the Indian audience and also establish a manufacturing facility in India.

Brixton’s move into India is fueled by a strategic vision to introduce its European elegance to the Indian riders which takes place after nearly two years of meticulous planning with KAW Veloce Motors. The Austrian brand is owned by KSR Group which also owns multiple mobility brands such as Motron Motorcycles, Malaguti Motorcycles, etc.

Taking the collaboration a step further, Brixton and KAW Veloce intend to set up a research and development centre in India. This initiative aims to develop models specifically for the Indian market and will help India become a strategic export hub for Brixton to Southeast Asian and African markets.

Besides manufacturing, Brixton Motorcycles also intends to build a comprehensive dealer network across major Indian cities. This plan includes launching 15 dealerships by the end of 2024 and expanding to 50 by the following year, which should ensure accessibility and convenience for customers nationwide.

Brixton’s first offering for the Indian market will be an adventure tourer which will be showcased globally later this year. This will be followed by a market launch in India around the festive season this year. Brixton offers a wide range of motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 1,200cc in capacity.

KAW Veloce currently takes care of sales, service, and spares for brands like Benelli, Keeway, Moto Morini, and Zontes in the South Maharashtra and North Karnataka regions.
