Bajaj is going to launch the world’s first CNG bike tomorrow which is deemed to be a revolutionary leap forward in the global automotive industry. Ahead of its launch, the Chakan-based bikemaker has teased the upcoming CNG bike on its social media handles. The launch event will be graced by Union Minister of Road & Transport, Nitin Gadkari who has been a strong proponent for use of alternate fuels in India.
With this new launch, Bajaj will gain the first mover’s advantage of two-wheelers running on CNG bike. In the latest teaser, Bajaj partially reveals the silhouette of the CNG bike which is rumoured to be named ‘Bruzer’ once launched. The short clip also reveals some unique features of the bike.

Bajaj CNG bike: Expected styling
From the latest teaser and previous spy shots, we can infer the styling of the bike to some extent. It gets a round headlight with a small visor on top. The fuel tank gets extended shrouds to give it a sporty appeal, while the flat, single-piece seat gives it a more commuter-ish feel.
It is being reported that Bajaj will equip the bike with a conventional petrol tank along with a CNG cylinder below it which will be held circular braces attached to the main frame. Reports further indicate that Bajaj will offer two variants of the CNG bike. One could be a slightly rugged trim featuring handlebar guards, block pattern tyres, headlamp grille, handlebar brace, and more. Meanwhile, the other variant would be a more simple, urban-looking bike with a small headlight cowl and a different stance.
Bajaj CNG bike: Expected features & specs
Specific details of the motorcycle are still under wraps, however, based on the earlier spy shots, the motorcycle gets fornt telescopic forks, a monoshock at the rear, and halogen lighting for the headlight and turn signals. The teaser video reveals a switch on the right-hand switchgear which lets the rider switch from petrol to CNG mode. While it is hard to conceive whether it will be fully-digital or not, the instrument console will offer a gear position indicator and CNG mode display.
We expect the new CNG bike to be powered by a new 100cc-125cc engine which can run on both petrol and CNG and the transition between the different fuels will be taken care of by the switch on the right-hand switchgear. Although we have to wait till tomorrow to know what’s exactly on offer in the upcoming CNG bike.
