Aprilia Tuono 457: Expected design

While the larger Tuono RS 660 boasts a full fairing, the Tuono 457 adopts a more streetfighter-esque approach, forgoing the quarter-fairing around the tank and headlamp. This design choice, however, doesn’t diminish its aggressive presence. Extended tank shrouds lend the Tuono 457 a muscular look and a menacing stance, further accentuated by a twin LED headlamp unit reminiscent of a giant mantis.

Visual highlights include split seats, a floating tail section, and an underbelly exhaust. The Tuono 457 will be available in two striking color options: Piranha Red and Puma Grey.

Aprilia Tuono 457: Expected specs & features

As mentioned previously, the Tuono 457 shares its mechanical heart with the RS 457, utilizing the same 457cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This potent motor delivers 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slip and assist clutch. A bi-directional quickshifter will be available as an option.

Building upon the RS 457’s foundation, the Tuono 457 inherits the same aluminium frame, suspended by preload-adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends. The naked streetfighter rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires.

In terms of technology, the Tuono 457 boasts a 5-inch TFT digital instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity. Enhancing rider control, the bike features ride-by-wire throttle with three customizable ride modes and traction control. Completing the package are LED headlights and taillights.
