Aprilia today launched the SR150 Race Edition at a price of Rs 70,288, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The SR150 Race Edition is based on the SR150 but features some mechanical and cosmetic changes over the standard model. The SR150 Race Edition is based on the same design as on standard SR150. However, the Race Edition receives the graphics inspired from the Aprilia Moto GP edition, gold colour paint on front brake caliper, red springs at the rear and 14 inch red alloy wheels.
The Aprilia SR150 Race Edition is powered by a 154.4cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.4 hp of power and 11.5Nm of peak torque. The manufacturer has tweaked the CVT transmission’s ratios a bit, which will help the rider in quicker acceleration with a slight impact on fuel efficiency. At the front, the scooter carries a twin headlamp setup with two-air inlets below it. Braking duties are carried out by 220mm disc at front and 140mm drum at the rear. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 7 litres and a seat height of 775mm.
In addition, the instrument control of gearless scooter shows a twin pod analogue unit for speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer. The Aprilia SR150 Race Edition also gets a split pillion grab rails, under seat storage and USB charging point for mobiles. The SR150 Race Edition will be sold on only through the Vespa Dealerships across India.
