Kawasaki is on a roll, and after launching the updated Z650RS in India a few days ago, the Japanese motorcycle maker has launched the 2024 Z900 in India, priced at Rs 9.29 lakh ex-showroom. The 2024 model commands a premium of Rs 9,000 over last year’s model.
The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 retains its muscular design with the sculpted tank and small headlight, while also retaining its sporty, yet relaxed riding position. The motorcycle is still based on the same trellis frame, sporting a flat handlebar and a side-slung exhaust.
The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 retains its USD fork setup at the front, a monoshock at the rear, dual disc brakes up front and a single disc at the rear, dual-channel ABS, 17-inch wheels, and more. On the features front, the motorcycle gets a TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, dual-channel ABS, and traction control with two levels of adjustment.
Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged again, retaining its 948cc in-line four-cylinder engine that makes 123.6bhp and 98.6Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. There is no quickshifter on offer and the Z900’s primary competitors include the Triumph Street Triple, Ducati Monster, and BMW F900R amongst others.
