TVS Motor has launched the updated 2024 Apache RR310 at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.75 lakh. The faired sports motorcycle maintains its competition with the KTM RC 390. Although the Austrian manufacturer has not yet upgraded the RC 390 with the new engine from the Duke 390, it still stands as a formidable entry-level sports bike. Let’s examine the new features of the RR310 and see how it compares to the RC 390.
2024 Apache RR310 vs KTM RC 390: Features
TVS Motor has launched the updated version of its flagship motorcycle, the RR310, which is packed with new features and a tweaked design. The 2024 RR310 sports new two winglets that deliver maximum downforce and stability by generating 3 kgs of downforce. TVS has increased the size of the air intake system by 13 per cent to increase efficiency. It is coupled with the new 10 percent lighter aluminium forged piston. Due to this upgrade, TVS claims that the new RR310 is half a second faster from 0-100 kmph than the previous version.
The Apache RR310 offers first-in-segment cruise control, transparent clutch cover, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and RT-DSC (Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control). The RT-DSC features a 6D IMU safety package that offers cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering cruise control, wheelie control, Slope Dependent Control and Rear Lift-off Control. TVS has upgraded the vertical 5-inch TFT instrument console with a navigation system that can be paired to the phone via the TVS Connect app and a quick-shifter.
The current RC 390 is packed with features like traction control, cornering ABS, a quick-shifter, adjustable handlebars that can rise to 10 mm, SuperMoto ABS, a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS and an LCD digital instrument console.
