Auto Expo 2018 is getting closer with each passing day and Toyota is set to unveil its Vios sedan at the biennial event. The company has recently teased its upcoming Vios through its social media platforms. The upcoming Toyota Vios will take on the likes of the popular Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in the executive sedan territory. The Toyota Vios is essentially the low spec version of the Toyota Yatis Ariv that is sold internationally. The new India-spec Toyota Vios will most likely arrive with a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a CVT gearbox. The power output of this engine will be under 100 hp. The car might be launched with a diesel engine, but at a later stage. In terms of features, the most prominent ones that are expected to be on offer are projector headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), keyless entry, engine start-stop button and a lot more. Complete feature list to be revealed at Auto Expo 2018. The starting price of the new Toyota Vios is expected at Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
More details to be revealed during Auto Expo 2018. Besides this, automatic climate control system, rear AC vents and rear parking camera are also likely on the new Toyota Vios sedan. In the company’s product portfolio, the new Toyota Vios will be positioned below the Corolla Altis. With the new Vios, Toyota must be having high hopes as the said territory is churning out good numbers in India at the moment, all thanks to some good options.
Besides the new Toyota Vios, the company will also showcase some new concepts models along with facelifts of its existing cars.
