Like at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, India was at the centre-stage at the world’s largest two-wheeler show as well that opened on November 4 in Milan, Italy.

At the EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) 2025, TVS Motor Company, Royal Enfield, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Hero MotoCorp, and Ultraviolette Automotive revealed their global ambitions and electrification plans.

TVS: Making its first appearance at the EICMA, TVS dominated headlines with six new products, a resurgent ‘new Norton’, connected technology, AR-based heads-up display helmets, new range of accessories, and a roadmap for expansion in Europe. Over the last five years, TVS has invested £200 million in reviving the legendary British brand Norton, which went bankrupt in 2020 and was acquired by TVS the same year. The automaker also showcased the Tangent RR Concept, eFX three o electric motorcycle concept, M1-S electric scooter, Apache RTX 300, X born electric machine, and RTR HyprStunt Concept, among others.

Royal Enfield: In its 125th anniversary year, Royal Enfield showcased the Bullet 650, Classic 650 125th Anniversary Special Edition, and Himalayan Mana Black Edition. It also debuted the Flying Flea FF.S6 electric scrambler — a lightweight, high-torque electric motorcycle set to launch by the end of 2026.

Hero: The country’s largest player Hero MotoCorp signalled its entry into the high-performance category, and launched Vida Novus EV range (NEX 1, NEX 2, and NEX 3), all-new Hunk 440 SX, and XPulse 210 Dakar Edition. The NEX 1 is a portable and wearable micro-mobility, scooter-like device that can be folded and carried, even as a backpack, to be used for short-distance travel. The NEX 2 is a compact, self-balancing electric trike (three-wheeler), designed to combine the feel of a motorcycle with urban practicality. The NEX 3 is a sleek, all-weather personal EV — it’s a tandem-seat (seating position one behind the other, rather than side-by-side), compact four-wheeled vehicle that offers the safety and comfort of four wheels for city.

Honda: The automaker unveiled its first electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, to the public, and also had the world premiere of CB1000GT Sport Tourer, as well as the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype equipped with V3 Engine.

While Bajaj — a major stakeholder in KTM — wasn’t present, it showcased its global influence through KTM.

Ultraviolette: The Bengaluru-based start-up launched a smart carbon-fibre helmet called the UV Crossfade. Priced `19,900, this helmet can facilitate real-time rider-to-rider/rider groups and rider-to-vehicle connectivity.

For years, the Auto Expo in Delhi NCR was the undisputed showcase for India’s automotive industry. But over the last few years, most Indian two-wheeler companies are choosing the EICMA as their primary platform for global debuts and product reveals. This shift highlights a change in their corporate goals — securing a footprint in the global two-wheeler market.
