JSW MG Motor India is all set to disrupt the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of the Windsor Pro, which will make its debut on May 6. The recently released teaser video by the four-wheeler manufacturer reveals that the Windsor Pro will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety features like Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The standard Windsor EV, currently India’s top-selling electric vehicle for seven consecutive months, is set to see a sales boost with the Pro version.
MG Windsor Pro: No compromise on safety
JSW MG has confirmed that the Windsor Pro will get Level 2 ADAS. It will be the second EV in this segment to come with this safety feature after the Mahindra XUV400. The Windsor Pro Level 2 ADAS suite will offer 12 important features with a tri-layer warning system—audio, visual, and haptic alerts to keep drivers aware and alert. Here are a couple of standout functionalities like Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning, ensuring a secure and intelligent driving experience tailored to India’s traffic conditions.
Apart from safety, the Windsor PRO pushes the envelope in terms of utility and innovation. With Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, owners can power external devices or even assist another EV, extending the vehicle’s functionality beyond basic transportation.
MG pioneered Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in India’s mass market automotive sector, first introducing the technology in the Gloster and Astor. The Gloster was the initial SUV to feature ADAS, while the Astor led its segment with Level 2 ADAS. Now, MG Motor is elevating safety standards further by equipping the Windsor EV Pro with Level 2 ADAS functionality.
