Mini has unveiled the new Cooper John Cooper Works (JCW) based on the new generation Cooper revealed earlier this year. The performance hatch is available in both hard-top and convertible rooftops. Besides sportier looks, the Cooper JCW also gets spicier performance under its hood.
2025 Mini Cooper JCW: Exterior
The Mini Cooper JCW is offered with a variety of exterior colour schemes with contrasting red accents on the bonnet, roof, ORVMs, and brake callipers to accentuate the sporty appeal. Further, the front grille, 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, headlamp bezels, and pillars have also been finished in gloss black. The “MINI” badging on the hood also gets a dark chrome treatment.

At the rear, highlights include triangular LED taillamp clusters with Union Jack internals, connected by a piano black strip and gloss black diffuser with an exhaust outlet at the centre. A total of 11 shades are on offer with Mini Cooper JCW. The Convertible allows buyers to combine an exclusive Copper Grey exterior finish with either a black or a contrasting grey Union Jack pattern for the soft top.
2025 Mini Cooper JCW: Interiors & Features
Cabin interiors of the Cooper JCW mirrors its exterior with an all-black cabin with contrast red highlights that with sports seats upholstered in black synthetic leather and red accent stitching. In terms of features, it gets a 9.4-inch central OLED display, a Harman Kardon sound system, stainless steel pedals, four surround-view cameras, and a JCW-specific sports steering wheel.

2025 Mini Cooper JCW: Performance
Powering the Mini Cooper JCW is the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that performs duties on the standard Cooper S but in the JCW this motor pushes out 228 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque which is 27 horses and 80 Nm higher than the former. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels.
There is also the provision of paddle shifters positioned behind the steering wheel for more driving engagement. As for performance, the Mini Cooper JCW can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds for the hard-top version and 6.4 seconds for the convertible derivative. Also, the hard-top variant is quicker than the convertible, topping out at maximum speed of 250 kmph whereas the latter clocks a top speed of 245 kmph.
