Just days after reporting the Kawasaki Ninja 500 launch timeline in India, the Japanese motorcycle maker has teased the Ninja 500 on its social media platform, hinting at its approaching launch date. The new Kawasaki Ninja can be expected to go on sale next month.
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 was first showcased at EICMA, alongside the new Z500 street bike. The two motorcycles went on sale in global markets a few days ago, and since Kawasaki sells its global lineup in India as well, the arrival of the new 500cc siblings was imminent.
The motorcycle is powered by a new 450cc parallel-twin engine that makes 45.4bhp and 42.6Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine is shared with its naked sibling, the Z500 as well. Also, this is the same powerplant in the recently launched Kawasaki Eliminator.
When launched in India, the new Kawasaki Ninja 500 will replace the Ninja 400 and the motorcycle features telescopic forks, a monoshock at the rear, a TFT instrument console with phone connectivity, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, 17-inch wheels, and LED lighting among others.
