Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 launched in India at a price of Rs 8.52 lakh: Things that make it different from its Scrambler siblings

Ducati has just announced the launch of Scrambler Mach 2.0 in India. The prime highlight of the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is the special paint scheme that has been created by the renowned designer from California – Roland Sands. The colours on the new Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 mimics the typical west coast style of the 70s. The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 8.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will be available for sale at all seven Ducati outlets in the country that are situated in the cities of Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Kochi and Ahmedabad. The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 gets its power from an 803cc, L-twin engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission system. The engine is good for developing a maximum power output of 73 hp along with a peak torque of 67 Nm. The engine meets the strict Euro-IV emission norms that make it automatically compliant with the less stringent BS-IV standards. The braking system of the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 comprises of 330mm disc brake up front along with a 245mm disc brake at the rear. An ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes standard.

The new Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 gets features like lower tapered handlebars and the seat has been lifted straight away from the Flat Track Pro model. The motorcycle receives an all-black treatment on the exhaust, cylinder head covers and cooling fins. The nomenclature of the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 can remind one of the original Mach 1 250 from 1965 that used to come fitted with the same engine as the Scrambler 250.

Commenting on the launch of Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0, Sergi Canovas Garriga, who is the Managing Director at Ducati India said, “The Ducati Scramblers are the perfect starting point for motorcyclists. It is a contemporary bike that gives the rider pure riding pleasure with the practicality of a modern bike. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is a very special motorcycle that is a result of our collaboration with Roland and will provide a unique flavour to Scrambler buyers.”
