The first thing to catch one’s attention is the design of the motorcycle — while it retains the traditional DesertX design with a tall stance, it stands out visually owing to the colour scheme. The Ducati DesertX Discovery gets a red and black scheme which the company calls Ducati Red and Thrilling Black. This combo, with white on the fairing, gives it a unique look, especially compared to the standard DesertX.
Features
On the features front, the Ducati DesertX Discovery retains all the goodies — fully adjustable UDD forks in the front, KYB monoshock at the rear, wire-spoke wheels, dual-purpose tyres, disc brakes at both ends and a host of electronic aids. The motorcycle gets heated grips, a touring windscreen, a centre stand, and aluminium panniers, while also getting a sturdy engine bash plate.

Powering the Ducati DesertX Discovery is the well-known 937cc, L-twin liquid-cooled engine. The motor makes 108bhp and 92Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. Other electronic aids such as ride modes, power modes, wheelie control, and engine brake control keep a check on the rider.
