The new 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 gets power from the same 159.7cc, single cylinder, oil-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission system. The engine being BS6 compliant now sees a slight drop in power and torque figures. While the power output is now 15.8hp, the peak torque output is now rated at 14.12Nm. That said, these figures see a decrease by 0.8hp and 0.68Nm respectively.

Talking of new features, an interesting one is Glide Through Technology (GTT) which the company says comes handy in heavy traffic situations. Other features include new 'claw' shaped rear view mirrors and wave key.

The instrument cluster continues to remain a highly informative unit but the gear position display has been given a miss. Also, the bike now has no kick starter and hence, one less thing when it comes to convenience.

2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 is priced at Rs 1.03 lakh for the dual disc brake variant and Rs 99,950 for the single disc trim (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). That said, the new model is costlier than the corresponding variant of BS4 version by Rs 3,000.
