It shares it’s motor with the 110cc Activa, and it get’s modular panels, so you can custom build the look on your Navi. The Vespa is becoming a sort of a cult-scooter among the younger urban populace. It’s brand value fueled by its distinct styling and premium pricing has worked wonders. However, while that might be the case, the Vespa also suffers from moderate handling, thanks to heavy front end. What we love is the way the Piaggio have moved the Vespa effortlessly through time.

Yamaha’s take-on the retro-modern design is an odd ball no doubt but that does mean it stands out in terms of the competition. It may not be groundbreaking but the contoured panels paired with the retro-oval headlamp give the Fascino a sort of post-modern appeal. The 113 cc motor however makes a disappointing 6.5 hp which means that it marginally lacks in terms of performance.

What if you want a scooter that has a more performance oriented outlook. The Aprilia SR150 is the ride for you, aside from oh-so-desirable Aprillia badge and optional Aprillia racing colours, the Aprilia SR150 with it’s 150cc motor is the quickest scooter in the market as well as the most maneuverable. Priced below the Vespa the Aprilia is possibly the most exciting scooter both in terms of design and performance.

Honda’s newest addition to its scooter range, the Cliq is design for the rural market and with a price tag around the 40k mark it’s a few thousand cheaper than an Iphone. The Cliq was targeted at the 100cc motorcycle buyer, but we think the minimalistic design, make the Cliq look like an exciting product for even the city dweller looking for a scooter to make grocery runs and what have you. The Cliq like the Navi also gets its engine from the 110cc Activa, although the 4 litre fuel tank does seem a bit of an under-sell
