Simple Energy has announced the launch of the Simple Dot One electric scooter at Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom Bangalore). The pre-bookings shall open from January 27, for all customers, whereas priority shall be given to existing customers to switch from Simple One to Dot One.
The pre-booking can be done on the company’s official website at Rs 1947. With the launch of the Dot One, Simple Energy is aiming to cater to a more diverse demographic across the country.
The Dot One, a sub-variant based on the platform of the Simple One, is offered in a single variant, and the Dot One will be equipped with only a fixed battery, delivering a 160km IDC range. Available in four colours, Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue, the Dot One comes with a 750W charger.
The company says that as a part of the introductory offering and in response to requests, the Dot One will also be offered in LightX and BrazenX colour options. The deliveries will commence in Bangalore followed by other cities in a phased manner.
The Dot One can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 2.77 seconds and comes with a 3.7kWh battery pack mated to an 8.5 kW electric motor. Safety features include CBS, and disc brakes at both ends. The scooter also gets 35-litre under-seat storage and a touchscreen instrument cluster with app connectivity.
