
The new Skoda Octavia RS has been spotted in India recently and will be launched by the end of this month. On the outside, the Octavia RS gets an aggressive design language with a body kit. It sports a chrome surround front grille and a new design for 17-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers. The car manufacturer will also equip the Skoda Octavia RS with LED headlamps, DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), LED tail lamps and fog lamps. The car also comes with steel exhaust tips and a tailgate spoiler.
Inside the cabin, one can expect a 9.2-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity options. The interior will also boast of sporty black leather seats with contrast red stitching and an ambient lighting system. The safety equipment, on the other hand, will include nine airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and park-assist like rear parking sensors, auto-parking system and much more.

The carmaker is likely to launch the upcoming sporty sedan with a 2.0 litre TSI engine that is expected to produce 230 hp of maximum power. The engine is likely to be paired to a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox. There is also a possibility of a diesel unit, which will be revealed soon this month or during its launch.

Skoda Auto has already started accepting booking for the new Octavia RS and has also listed the model on its official India website. The company will first launch the Rapid Monte Carlo in India in August, 2017 followed by the Octavia RS later this month. The carmaker will also launch its third product, the Skoda Kodiaq which will be launched by the end of this year.
