JSW MG Motor will kickstart a new chapter when it brings out the first set of Completely Built Units (CBU) to India. Last year, the Chinese-owned British carmaker announced that it will launch fully-imported models under its new MG Select program. The first CBU model from MG in India will be the Cyberster followed by M9.
Pre-bookings for both these battery-powered vehicles have now commenced. Prospective buyers can register their bookings by paying a token amount of Rs 51,000 either at an MG Select dealership or via the company’s official website. As of now, the company has established 13 MG Select dealerships across the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
MG Cyberster: Features & Specs
The Cyberster boasts a cutting-edge infotainment setup, featuring a central 10.25-inch touchscreen flanked by two 7-inch displays. This convertible roadster is packed with premium features, including an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 6-way power-adjustable seats, a 4-way adjustable steering wheel, plush leather upholstery, two USB ports, and seamless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Voice command functionality enhances convenience, while the retractable roof opens or closes in just 15 seconds.

On the safety front, the Cyberster is equipped with an advanced suite of driver assistance technologies (ADAS), including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and collision warning. It also features six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a traction control system, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a blind spot monitor, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, ensuring a secure and confident driving experience.
The electric sportscar will feature a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup The combined output from this dual-motor setup is 504 bhp and 725 Nm of peak torque. There are four drive modes on offer: Comfort, Custom, Sport and Track. The dual-motor setup derives the energy from a 77 kWh battery pack which promises a range of 444 km on a single charge.
MG M9: Features & Specs
Designed to deliver unparalleled comfort and luxury on the move, the M9’s cabin is packed with high-end features. Highlights include a touchscreen-integrated handrail on the reclining ottoman seats in the second row, power-operated rear sliding doors, eight massage modes for the ottoman seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a three-zone climate control system—all conveniently managed through the touchscreen panel on the handrail.

While MG has yet to disclose the exact motor and battery specifications for the M9, it is expected to come with a 90 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of 430 km (WLTP) on a single charge. The battery is likely to power an electric motor delivering 245 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.
