The rumour mills have been buzzing for some time over the launch of the third-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It’s time for the drum rolls to begin as it’s now confirmed that India’s most popular sedan will officially make its debut in November. Here is all you need to know about the new Dzire including design, features and engine specifications.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Design
Although the Dzire is based on the newly launched 2024 Swift, Maruti Suzuki has gone the extra mile to differentiate the sedan from the hatchback in terms of exterior design. Spy images reveal that the Swift’s honeycomb grille has been swapped out for a new grille design that echoes Audi’s signature Bavarian beard with several thick horizontal slats. The Dzire has transitioned from its charming girl-next-door appearance to a bolder street stance, with a muscular bonnet that boasts defining character lines.
Maruti Suzuki has updated the lighting design as well, introducing new angular LED headlamps and LED fog lamps set within a redesigned front bumper. The side profile stands out with a pronounced shoulder line, metal-finished window sills, and fresh dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the design is solidified with LED tail lamps and a slim metallic strip above them.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Cabin and Features
Maruti Suzuki has souped up the Dzire with a long list of features. A spy image has disclosed that the Dzire will come with a single-panel sunroof, which will get a loud cheer from potential buyers. Based on what the Swift offers, the new Dzire is expected to feature a 9-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and an analogue instrument cluster with a multi-information display.
For safety, it is expected to be equipped with six airbags, a hill-hold assist, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a reverse parking camera, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine Specifications
The new Dzire will be borrowing the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Swift. It will deliver 80 bhp and 111.7 Nm of torque and be offered in two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce a CNG variant of the Dzire.
