Skoda set foot in the electric vehicle (EV) space with the Enyaq a couple of years ago. The Czech automaker is currently developing a refreshed version of its popular Enyaq electric vehicle. This was recently confirmed with the release of preliminary sketches depicting the updated Enyaq in both SUV and Coupe body styles.

The company has now shared a teaser of the facelifted Enyaq on its social media handles. The latest teaser shares a glimpse of its front end design of the upcoming mid-size electric SUV. As mentioned in our previous reports, the updated Enyaq will be based on the brand’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language.

The Enyaq’s facelift introduces a distinctive ‘Tech Deck’ panel featuring four segmented LED daytime running light units on each side. These units are visually integrated with the illuminated ‘grille,’ a blanked-off panel. The LED Matrix headlights have been relocated to the bumper, resulting in a design aesthetic that closely resembles the smaller Elroq EV.

While the latest teaser doesn’t reveal anything about the rear section, previous design sketches of the Enyaq facelift have suggested sleeker C-shaped wraparound taillamps, roof-mounted spoiler with integrated brake lamp, “SKODA” lettering at the centre, and plenty of chrome to accentuate its premium appeal. Further, silver panels along the side skirts and rear bumper are likely to be replaced by black plastic in the form of cladding when the electric SUV hits production.

Skoda Enyaq facelift: Expected launch & specs

Skoda had unveiled the pre-facelift Enyaq in India earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo, with an anticipated launch in 2024. However, as the year draws to a close, it’s clear that Enyaq’s India debut has been delayed. The facelifted version of the Enyaq is now expected to be introduced globally in late 2025. Skoda is likely to showcase a concept version of the updated model at the next Bharat Mobility Expo, scheduled for January 2025.

The Enyaq’s battery and motor specifications are unlikely to change for the India-spec model. It is expected to feature a 77kWh (net) battery, offering a WLTP-certified range of 513 km on a single charge. The dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 261 bhp, will power both axles. The battery will support DC fast charging of up to 125 kW.

In terms of performance, Skoda claims the electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. When launched in India, the Enyaq will initially be offered as a fully imported CBU (Completely Built Unit), likely carrying a premium price tag exceeding Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
