The limited Knight Edition is reserved only for Hyundai’s SUVs and the latest to join this exclusive club is the Exter. The compact SUV is the South Korean company’s third best-selling vehicle in the Indian market. In June last month, the Exter registered 6,908 units. The two other SUVs available in the Knight Edition are the Creta and the Venue.
Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Updates
The Knight Edition is focused on upgrading the exteriors of the vehicle and the same is expected with the special edition Exter. Based on the image teased by Hyundai, the Exter Knight Edition is completely blacked out with a sporty red inset running across the black bumper. Both the Exter and the Hyundai badges will get a dark chrome finish. The special edition will sport the Knight Emblem on the tailgate to distinguish it from the standard Exter.
The Exter Knight Edition is expected to get an all-black glossy finish front grille with red inserts, dark metal 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, all-black skid plates, and red front brake calipers.
The cabin of the Exter Knight Edition will get an all-black theme with coloured stitching on the upholstery, the dashboard especially the air condition vents and the steering wheel.
Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Engine Specifications
The Exter Knight Edition will retain the standard compact SUV’s 1.2-litre naturally aspirated powertrain with an output of 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. As both Creta and Venue are not available in CNG, it will be interesting to if Hyundai introduces the first CNG-powered Knight Edition with the Exter.
