Hyundai Motor India, one of the leading passenger vehicle manufacturer and exporter in the country, has announced a robust start to the year 2024.
The company reported record sales of 67,615 units in January 2024, which translates to a growth of 8.5 percent YoY. This includes its highest-ever domestic monthly sales of 57,115 units in the domestic market, up 14% YoY. Exports at 10,500 units were down 13.7% YoY.
Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India said, “Hyundai Motor India has begun 2024 on a rousing note achieving its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 57,115 units with 14% growth over same period last year. This strong growth has been fuelled by an overwhelming customer response to the newly launched Hyundai CRETA, which has already garnered close to 50 000 bookings within a month of the booking open announcement. Further, our entry SUV EXTER continues its amazing run in the market clocking great sales numbers as well as winning prestigious auto awards in the country. Going forward we continue to be cautiously optimistic about the momentum of the auto industry in 2024.”
