Kia India has unveiled the 2024 Sonet facelift’s fuel economy figures before the compact SUV’s official debut. The South Korean manufacturer unveiled the Sonet in December 2023 and opened the bookings at an amount of Rs 25,000.Â

The 2024 Sonet will be available in six powertrain and transmission combinations and due to increasing demand from customers, the car manufacturer has decided to bring back the diesel manual trim. At the moment, that is the only variant’s mileage Kia hasn’t revealed. According to Kia, the entry-level 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will return 18.83 kmpl, while the two 1-litre turbo petrol trims, the 6-speed iMT and the 7-speed DCT automatic claim a mileage of 18.7 kmpl and 19.2 kmpl respectively. The most fuel-efficient trim, on the other hand, is the diesel 6-speed iMT with mileage of 22.3 kmpl while the 6-speed automatic torque converter returns 18.6 kmpl.Â

2024 Kia Sonet: Features
The Kia Sonet facelift receives a host of new features and some design tweaks. The biggest update is that the Sonet will now come equipped with a Level 1 ADAS suite, which includes ten autonomous features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Avoidance Assist, Lane Departure Warning and much more. The 2024 Kia compact SUV also gets a 4-way electric power driver’s seat, dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and all-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, rear sunshade curtain, front ventilated seats and improved rear seat thigh support and new scooped front seats for better legroom for rear passengers. The 2024 Sonet offers 15 standard safety options like six airbags, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), a Brake Force Assist System (BAS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill alert Assist Control (HAC) etc.
