The new-gen Audi Q5 is based on the the same MLB Evo platform that underpins the current-gen Audi Q7. The use of this platform has helped Audi Q5 SUV to grow in size and at the same times has managed to lose about 100 kilograms. Extensive use of aluminium and carbon fibre has helped in losing the weight of the new Audi Q5.
2018 Audi Q5 also gets fully digital Audi virtual cockpit. It displays graphics on its high-resolution 12.3-inch screen. The driver can choose between two different display modes. Top-variants of Q5 also features head-up display projects key information onto the windshield. Rounding out the range of options are a heated steering wheel, seats with pneumatic massage function and ambient lighting that illuminates the interior in 30 different colours.
