Japanese two-wheeler major Yamaha has decided to recall 902 units of its YZF-R3, an iconic sports bike, for faulty clutch system. The company did not share the manufacturing dates of the vehicles which will be affected by the recall.
In a press statement here on Thursday, Yamaha said: “The YZF-R3 is an iconic bike and has been very successful in India. However, the parent company Yamaha Motor Company has determined that a defect, which relates to clutch pressure plate assembly and oil pump assembly malfunction exists in few YZF-R3 motorcycles falling within certain production numbers.”
