Revolt will be launching a brand new electric motorcycle tomorrow. The homegrown EV manufacturer has been a one-product brand for a very long time now with Revolt RV400 being the sole product in its portfolio. The company recently shared a teaser of the upcoming teaser bike on its website and social media handles.

A few crucial details of this upcoming battery-powered bike have now been leaked online. For starters the upcoming bike will be called ‘AW1’ which should stand for “Are We One”. The same tagline is used in a teaser by Revolt on its official website. However, going by the tradition it seems Revolt will sell it by the name RV1.

Revolt AW1 details leaked

In all likelihood, this upcoming electric bike will be placed below the current RV400 and RV400 BRZ. As the leaked documents suggest, the equipment and specifications on the AW1 are more modest than the RV400. For starters, the AW1 will come equipped with conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers instead of more premium upside down front forks and a rear mono-shock.

Further, the AW1 will receive a smaller 2kW electric motor and 2.2 kWh battery that should offer a lower output and lesser range. While the RV400 claims a range of over 150 km on a single charge, the AW1 will offer a single-charge range of 100 km  Moreover, power will be transferred to the rear wheel via a chain drive instead of a chain drive as seen in the RV400. Stopping duties will be carried out by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.

Other critical additions to the electric bike include a centre stand, a single-piece leg guard, a new visor on top of the round headlamp, and redesigned pillion grab rail with an integrated luggage rack. As a result, the payload of the motorcycle has increased to over 250 km. The design and specifications indicate that Revolt is probably aiming for the B2B fleet segment with this bike.

In terms of features, the AW1 will offer a halogen lighting setup, a reverse mode, a long single-piece seat with a 790mm height, and a designated space under the seat to store the charger. Considering the specs on offer, the Revolt AW1 will be priced lower than the RV400. We expect it to carry a price tag of around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
