Piaggio will launch the MotoGuzzi V9 Roamer and the MotoGuzzi Bobber in India this month. Earlier, both the bikes were showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, and will be arriving on the Indian soil as CBU (Completely Built Units). In terms of mechanics, both motorcycles will have the same specifications. They are powered by an 850cc, air-and-oil cooled, V-twin engine, which produces 54hp of power and 62Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to a 6-speed transmission and fueling duties are carried out by an electronic fuel injection system.
Disc brakes with ABS will be offered at both ends. A 320mm stainless steel with Brembo radial calliper will be equipped at the front, while a 260mm SS disc brake with two-piston floating calliper will be seen at the rear. Moreover, the bikes also get immobiliser, traction control and USB port.
The Italian manufacturer will sell both the bikes in India through its Motoplex showrooms and has also started accepting the booking. When launched in the Indian market, MotoGuzzi V9 Roamer and Bobber will give competition to the likes of Harley Davidson 883 and Triumph Street Twin. The prices are not yet confirmed, but it is expected that the V9 Bobber and the Roamer will be priced between Rs. 13 lakh to Rs. 14 lakh.
