Many grew up watching the epic adventure of two motorcycle adventure riders – Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor – when they set off from London to New York on a 31,000km journey. Now, the duo will be back for another adventure, as Apple TV has confirmed it.
Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor will return in a new 10-part series. In it, they will ride through Scandinavia, eastern, and central Europe in a 10,000-mile (16,000km) adventure between their homes.
In the new series, the duo will ride a refurbished Moto Guzzi and BMW, from Ewan’s home in Scotland to Charley’s home in England. Instead of the straightforward route, the two will cross the North Sea and into the Arctic Circle. Their ride will cover 15 countries and some of the best routes along the way.
Long Way Round, thrice
This will be the duo’s fourth riding adventure. The first was the epic hit Long Way Round when the duo rode two BMW GS 1150s. The next was Long Way Down in 2007, when they travelled from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa on BMW GS 1200s.
Next was the Long Way Up in 2020, when the duo were back at it again, this time on all-electric Harley-Davidson Livewires. The 2020 adventure saw Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor ride from Argentina to Los Angeles, US, through South and Central America.
