Kawasaki has announced the price for the KLX 230 dual sport in India — Rs 3.30 lakh ex-showroom. The KLX 230 was unveiled earlier this year, and the motorcycle is road-legal, meaning it can be registered and used on the road. Let’s take a detailed look at the Kawasaki KLX 230.
Kawasaki KLX 230 — Design and features
Like a typical dual-sport, the Kawasaki KLX 230 features minimal bodywork, a high-mounted front fender, a small fairing at the front, a single-piece seat, and an exhaust tucked under the seat. The Kawasaki KLX 230 is purpose-built to take on any surface.
The KLX 230 features long-travel telescopic forks at the front, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, an LCD instrument cluster, 21 front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, and switchable dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle is basic and not too complicated.

The Kawasaki KLX 230 is powered by a 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 18.1bhp and 18.3Nm of peak torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. The Kawasaki KLX 230 has one direct rival in India — Hero Xpulse 200. The Xpulse 200 makes 18.9bhp in comparison, however, at Rs 1.67 lakh, ex-showroom, the Xpulse 200 Dakar edition gets better equipment.
