The most basic essential to carry is rain gear — a waterproof jacket and trousers. While most parts of India are warm even during monsoon, some places can get really cold and getting wet in the rain can amplify the chillness multiple folds. The easiest and most effective way to stay dry is waterproof overalls, and ensure that they are stored in a place away from rain and are easily reachable.
Carry layers
Always carry extra wearable layers instead of a big sweater when riding. In case the rain is making you feel cold, wear an extra layer under your riding gear to keep you warm. Also, just carrying extra layers will help in case you are wet and want to change into something dry.
Clear visor
Visibility can go down quickly during monsoon and when riding in rain, always pick a clear visor, not a tinted one. Ensure that there are no scratches and if they have, replace them.
