Bajaj’s domestic two-wheeler sales decline 3% in May 2024, exports up 4%

Bajaj’s domestic sales saw a decline in May 2024, while its exports have grown by 4 percent over last year.

Bajaj registered sales of 3,05,482 units of two-wheelers in May 2024, out of which 1,88,340 units were sold in the domestic market. When compared to May 2023, Bajaj saw a YoY decline of 3 percent in its domestic sales as the company sold 1,94,811 units last year.

With exports, Bajaj saw a positive uptick as the company exported 1,17,142 units in May 2024, as compared to exporting 1,12,885 units last year, registering a YoY growth of 4 percent. Bajaj continues to lead the industry in terms of exports.

During the April-May 2024 period, Bajaj registered domestic sales of 4,05,290 units, registering a YoY growth of 8 percent while its exports during the same period were up 10 percent with 2,41,981 units.

Bajaj’s latest launches which include updates to its entire Pulsar range and the launch of the new Pulsar NS400Z are expected to boost sales for the company in the coming months. That said, Bajaj is also gearing up to launch the first-ever CNG motorcycle this month.
