TVS Motor has managed to hit the sales figures out of the park by retaining its number electric two-wheeler crown for the second consecutive month. The Indian two-wheeler has also spruced up its iQube range with some premium updates and has pulled the rabbit out of the hat by cutting the price. We pit the red-hot favourite iQube against the Ather Rizta and find out which one is the most value-for-money electric family scooter.Â
2025 TVS iQube or Ather Rizta: Specifications, Range

We focus on the updated iQube ST variant, which now comes with a 3.5 kWh bigger that makes 5.9 bhp and 33 Nm of torque. According to TVS, the iQube ST has a range of 145 km per single charge, a top speed of 78 kmph and accelerates from 0 – 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds. It offers two ride modes — Eco and Power. The 3.5 kWh battery charges from 0-80% in 3 hours.
The Rizta was a complete game-changer for Ather Energy as it was the company’s first mass-market electric scooter aimed at the family segment. The Rizta Z trim gets a 3.7 kWh battery pack with an output of 5.7 bhp and 22 Nm of torque. It does 0- 40 kmph in 4.7 seconds according to Ather Energy. It has a top speed of 80 kmph and an IDC range of 159 km. The Rizta Z juices up from 0 – 80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes and to 100%, then it is 5 hours and 45 minutes.

2025 TVS iQube or Ather Rizta: Features
The updates iQube offers a slew of new features like a new dual-tone seat, beige interior panels and a backrest for the pillion. It sports a 7-inch TFT touch display that can be paired to your smartphone and receive calls, message alerts and play your favourite playlist. It also reads distance to charge or range, turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist and Alexa and a UBS charging port. TVS electric scooter offers an under-seat storage space of 32 litres.
The Rizta provides a segment-leading 56-litre storage capacity, with 34 litres under the seat and 22 litres in the frunk. The charging port is located under the seat. Its 7-inch Android-powered display features Google Navigation Maps and Alexa, enabling call and message handling, location sharing via WhatsApp, music playback, and more.
Both the electric scooters are priced similarly. The TVS iQube ST costs Rs 1.45 lakh while the Ather Rizta Z is available for Rs 1.42 lakh, ex-showroom.
