Honda unveiled the 2024 Honda 650R models at EICMA 2023 and these two motorcycles, the CB650R and the CBR650R will make it to India as the updated versions. The new motorcycles are expected in India sometime next year and here’s what to expect.
2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R: Design
In terms of design, the CB650R retains the retro look, however, the headlight gets a drooping design, while getting new tank shrouds and a shorter rear section. On the fully-faired CBR650R, the changes are similar at the rear, but the fairing draws inspiration from the latest-gen CBR1000RR, giving it a sportier look.

2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R: Engine specifications
Honda could retain the existing in-line four-cylinder that makes 94bhp and 62.3Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. What is new with the engine is the introduction of an E-Clutch, which allows the rider to go up and down the gears without using the lever, similar to a quickshifter. However, what makes the E-Clutch stand out is that the rider can come to a complete halt without using the clutch lever.
2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R: Features and equipment
The two motorcycles will ride on 17-inch wheels, get a USD fork setup and a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and a TFT display. In addition to these, the new Honda CB650R and the CBR650R will get Honda Selectable Torque Control and phone connectivity with the updated dash.
