India’s leading car design specialist Dillip Chhabria is set to once again win the hearts of Indians and will showcase a new DC Design sportscar at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. A report on Autocar confirms that DC Design has been working on an all-new Coupe named TCA. DC TCA stands for Titanium, Carbon Fibre and Aluminium that hints the material used in making DC’s new sportscar and will also be a light-weighted car.
DC Design stall at Auto Expo have always attracted a lot of crowd especially during 2012 Auto Expo when Dillip Chhabria first showcased the DC Avanti concept and then in 2014 when Kareena Kapoor launched the production version of Avanti. Now, DC Design is ready showcase the future of its next sportscar which is completely built by this Indian company and will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.

The report further says that the new DC TCA Sportscar will be heavily based on the DC Avanti platform and will be both longer and wider than the Avanti. Dillip Chhabria himself is a master of car designing and is set to take the car designs of DC to a whole new level. The tease image reveals that the car gets a cleaner and sportier body word with less shut lines than we had seen on DC Avanti. Inside the car, DC’s new sportscar might get an upgraded cabin from the Avanti. Considering the dimensions of DC’s new sportscar has changed from Avanti, expect the engine also to be more powerful than its sibling Avanti.

DC’s TCA coupe will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine that is likely to shed a power of over 400hp. This is a big leap in engine considering the DC Avanti was powered by only a 2L engine with a power output on 250 hp. The other big change on the sportscar will be the gearbox and DC might add a 7-speed torque converter automatic gearbox to its new sportscar. This new engine and light-weight construction is expected the car to be very quick and is expected to do a 0-100 in less than 7 seconds.
DC Design will showcase this new product at the Auto Expo 2018 and when launched this new DC sportscar will be a bit more expensive than DC Avanti and might be priced at around Rs 45 lakh and still be the most affordable sportscar in India.
