Royal Enfield 750cc spied again but this time with a retro-styled variant

Royal Enfield is set to bring out their brand new 750cc motorcycle. It is no longer a surprise as the new bike in the Continental GT body has been spotted testing several times. However, this time we’ve got something new to see in an image that surfaced on social media. First is that the motorcycle seems almost production ready and second that it was parked next to another variant, one that reflects design similarities with the Triumph Bonneville. The two motorcycles have the same chassis, engine, brakes and suspension. While the cafe racer sports a single seat and a clip-on handlebar, the retro-styled motorcycle gets a pillion seat and single-piece handlebar. The new motorcycle’s 750cc engine is expected to generate around 50 hp of power and 60 Nm of torque. This engine would be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and will have a 270-degree crank angle for a throatier exhaust note.

Unlike other Royal Enfield motorcycles in India, the 750 will come electronics safety features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). This will also make it a close competitor against the Harley Davidson 2017 Street Rod. This may be the first Royal Enfield to be offered with ABS, however, a confirmation from the company is yet to be made on any of the mentioned specifications.

The prices are expected to be under Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom) which would be pretty aggressive considering the segment it would be introduced in. It would also give an option to Royal Enfield fans in the country to choose a premium motorcycle at an affordable price tag. The new 750 cc motorcycle is expected to be revealed during the Auto Expo 2018.
