Simple Energy has expanded its vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Gen 2 versions of its popular Simple One and Simple OneS electric scooters, alongside the new Simple Ultra. The Ultra is touted as India’s first electric scooter with an IDC-certified range of 400 km on a single charge. Powered by a massive 6.5 kWh battery – which is the largest ever in an Indian electric scooter – the Simple Ultra combines extreme range with strong performance, achieving a top speed of 115 kmph and 0-40 kmph acceleration in 2.77 seconds. This makes it the second-fastest electric scooter in India, behind only the company’s own Simple OneS.
The new launch brings Simple Energy’s lineup to four models, each targeting different rider needs and effectively addressing range anxiety in the electric two-wheeler segment.

As part of a limited-time introductory offer, the Gen 2 lineup starts at Rs 1,39,999. The Simple One (both battery variants) and Simple OneS Gen 2 are available for immediate purchase across over 61 showrooms in cities like Bengaluru, Goa, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jaipur, and more. Customers can also buy online via Amazon and Flipkart.
Key upgrades in Simple One Gen 2 models
The Gen 2 Simple One introduces several rider-focused enhancements over its predecessor:
– Lighter kerb weight (129 kg, down 8 kg).
– Increased peak motor power to 8.8 kW.
– New 1-litre glove box with dedicated charging port.
– Redesigned minimalist dashboard.
– 35-litre underseat storage and lowered 780 mm seat height for better comfort.
– Advanced features like traction control, four-level regenerative braking, and cruise control.
– Six riding modes: Eco X, Eco, Ride, Air, Sonic, and Sonic X.
The 5 kWh variant offers superior performance with 72 Nm torque, 115 kmph top speed, and 0-40 kmph in 2.55 seconds, while the 4.5 kWh version delivers balanced efficiency. The Simple OneS Gen 2, with its 3.7 kWh battery, is now lighter at 118 kg, offers improved braking (18.49m stopping distance), and maintains strong everyday performance.
All models come in vibrant single-tone and dual-tone colour options, including Brazen Black, Azure Blue, Sonic Red, and more.
Simple One connected features and warranty
Simple One Gen 2 features a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with 5G e-SIM, Bluetooth, in-built navigation, app integration, OTA updates, TPMS, Park Assist, and more. The OneS Gen 2 gets a non-touch display with turn-by-turn navigation.
In a segment-first move, Simple Energy offers a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery across the portfolio, alongside a 3-year/30,000 km vehicle warranty and extended charger coverage.
