Tata Motors has officially unveiled the 2026 Tata Punch facelift, the most significant update to its bestselling micro-SUV since its debut in 2021. Borrowing styling cues from the electric Punch EV for a unified family look, the refreshed model also introduces a powerful new turbo-petrol engine option alongside cosmetic enhancements and upgraded features. Official pricing and bookings will commence on January 13.

The updated Punch aims to strengthen its dominance in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, competing directly against rivals like the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Fronx and Citroen C3.

2026 Tata Punch design updates

The facelifted Punch adopts a modern, EV-inspired front fascia featuring vertically stacked trapezoidal LED headlamps, a blacked-out bumper with silver accents, and tweaked LED DRLs separated by a contrasting black band. Side profile changes are subtle, limited to new, more intricate alloy wheel designs on higher trims.

At the rear, standout updates include connected LED taillights with fresh detailing, a redesigned lower bumper, and updated Tata badging. Tata is expected to introduce several new colour options, including dual-tone roof combinations on select variants.

2026 Tata Punch interior and feature upgrades

Inside, the cabin draws inspiration from larger siblings like the Nexon and Altroz, featuring a premium two-spoke steering wheel, touch-based haptic climate controls, new trim finishes, and updated upholstery. The dashboard gets a refreshed layout with a likely 10.25-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster.

Key new additions include an expected 360-degree surround-view camera, enhancing practicality in tight urban spaces. Full feature details, including potential sunroof expansion to more variants, will be confirmed closer to launch.
