Suzuki has launched the 25th anniversary edition of the Hayabusa in India, priced at Rs 17.70 lakh, ex-showroom. The new special edition flagship from Suzuki gets a few unique touches to make it stand out from the standard version.
Suzuki Hayabusa 25th anniversary edition — What’s special?
The Suzuki Hayabusa needs no introduction at all, and has been on sale since 1998. Over the years, it has seen multiple updates and is currently in its third generation. The 25th anniversary edition is based on the current-gen motorcycle, which was launched in 2021.
The new limited edition model gets a host of cosmetic touches such as an orange and black colour scheme with gold anodized drive chain adjuster and front brake disk inner, 25th-anniversary logos on the exhaust, a three-dimensional Suzuki logo on the tank, the Hayabusa Kanji logo on the chain, and more.
In terms of its mechanicals, the Hayabusa sees no changes and retains the 1340cc, inline four0cylinder engine that makes 190bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter, while the traction control system keeps a check on the power delivery.
