Income Tax Return Due Date For FY 2022-23 Salary

As the Income Tax Return filing for income earned in FY 2022-23 has started, read on to find the due date and last date.

Salaried taxpayers have to file ITR this year for income earned in FY 2022-23 (Assessment Year 2023-24).

The Due Date to file ITR for income earned in FY 2022-23 is July 31, 2023 (non-audit cases).

The Last Date to file ITR for income earned in FY 2022-23 is December 31, 2023.

However, taxpayers are advised to file their returns before the due date i.e. July 31.

Not filing ITRs before the due date can result in belated ITR fee and penal charges.
