India’s mobility landscape is at a turning point. EVs still make up a small share of passenger vehicles today—around 2.5–8% depending on the segment—but the government wants EVs to reach about 30% of new passenger-vehicle sales by 2030, and projections suggest the domestic EV market could grow at over 40% CAGR this decade. Public charging has jumped from a few thousand stations in 2022 to over 29,000 by mid-2025, yet India may need more than 1.3 million public chargers by 2030 to keep up, while road freight already contributes roughly 12% of national greenhouse-gas emissions and 30–50% of road-transport emissions.
Against this backdrop of rapid growth and deep structural gaps—high upfront costs, range anxiety, uneven charging infrastructure, financing constraints, and the challenge of decarbonising freight and logistics—the FE Mobility Summit & Awards convenes the people who can actually move the needle.
