China’s Guizhou is famous for its natural beauty, mesmerizing charm of its people and it is also endowed with rich natural resources. When it comes to tourism, China is known for its ‘the bigger, the better’ approach. But not many people know about this Chinese province which home to the World’s longest floating walkway. The aerial view of the floating walkway forms the shape of a giant colorful butterfly that can easily attract anyone attention. The People’s Daily China today shared some pictures of the same with the caption, “A giant colorful butterfly: Aerial view of world’s longest floating walkway, covering 54,000 sqm on the Hongshui River in Guizhou, China.”
Well! This is not where it ends. It also holds the Guinness World Record of being the Longest floating walkway. According to the official website of the Guinness World Records, “The longest floating walkway measures 5.13 km (3.19 miles) and was achieved by Chengdu VENI Tourism Development Corp. and Shanghai Qihua Water Engineering Construction Co., Ltd (both China) in Luodian, Guizhou, China on 30 December 2016. The walkway is made of individual interlocking plastic blocks and held in place by anchors spread across the structure.”
The pathway resembles a giant colorful butterfly apart from which it offers a wide variety of water activities in the park that includes China’s biggest floating swimming pool and the only tropical botanical garden in Guizhou province, according to People’s Daily China.

There is a 40-meter-tall tower in the garden named Hongshuige, that is as high as seven floors and provides the best views of the whole area.
